Parish Catechists

Catechists are members of the faithful called by Christ to pass on the faith in faith formation programs, youth ministry, and sacramental preparation. Catechists nurture the seeds of faith imparted at Baptism so the people entrusted to their care may bear great fruit. In the Diocese of Rochester, catechists are encouraged to complete the parish catechist certification program. These courses will help catechists complete the parish catechist certification program. Catechetical Leaders

Catechetical Leaders

Catechetical leaders are professional ministers who have been chosen to oversee a program of formation (children, youth, adult, sacramental preparation, etc.) in a faith community. In the Diocese of Rochester, catechetical leaders who have not received a degree in Theology are encouraged to complete the parish catechetical leader certification program. These courses will help catechetical leaders complete the parish catechetical leader certification program. Catholic School Teachers

Catholic School Teachers

All Catholic Schools Principals and Teachers in the Diocese of Rochester are to be certified through the diocesan Catholic School Educator certification program. These courses will help principals and teachers complete the diocesan Catholic School Educator certification program.
